A board-certified anesthesiologist in the room
One published breast series specifically credits a board-certified anesthesiologist.
Safety & setting · 2 min read
In a series of 150 patients having subglandular breast augmentation under tumescent local anesthesia and conscious sedation, the authors concluded the approach was safe in the presence of a board-certified anesthesiologist and with meticulous surgical technique. Minor complications occurred in 5.3% of patients; there was no hematoma or seroma, and the maximum lidocaine dose was 17 mg/kg.
It is one series, but the phrasing is telling: safety was framed as a team property.
